Citizenship & Naturalization Lawyer in The Woodlands
Guiding You through the Naturalization Process
Naturalization is the process set up by Congress which grants citizenship to foreign nationals living in the U.S. Citizenship brings with it many benefits, including the right to vote, to run for public office, and freedom from the worry of deportation. In order to become a naturalized citizen, you will have to meet all the requirements and successfully complete all of the steps of the process.
At Jovel Martinez Law, we can provide the thoughtful guidance you need at every stage of the naturalization process. Because we only practice U.S. immigration law, we are thoroughly familiar with navigating the procedure, meeting the requirements of all included steps, and ensuring your best chance for success in becoming a U.S. citizen.
What It Takes to Become a U.S. Citizen
Most lawful permanent residents can apply for citizenship once they have lived in the U.S. for at least 5 years. For those who are married to U.S. citizens, the requirement is 3 years.
